There are three ways that I try to get the most out of both the Advent and Christmas Seasons:
I generally don't decorate for Christmas until about the 3rd Sunday of Advent BUT I leave it up until January 6, eastern Christmas, Epiphany.
I don't get stressed if my Christmas cards aren't postmarked by Christmas. I figure that as long as they are postmarked by January 6 (the end of the Christmas season), I'm good.
My friends and I now tend to gather during the Christmas Season to celebrate together, rather than trying to squeeze yet another event in prior to the holiday.
What do YOU do?

I love "Advent in 2 minutes"! I'm definitely going to use it, as well as, the Advent wreath project for the children to take home and use with their families!

I have tried to make it a practice (since I was 20), to finish shopping, cards and anything "commercial" before Thanksgiving. This let's me prepare for the birth of Jesus in a very "calm" way and truly appreciate the season and the people around me!
